Hector Mar

Owner/Coach/Trainer

Hector Mar has worked in the fitness and coaching industry for over 10 years and has built valuable relationships with various sporting organizations and schools in the community. His reputation and relationships allow him to negotiate exclusive training contracts with those organizations and individual athletes, a typically difficult to reach demographic that is very reliant on word-of-mouth referrals.

Hector also has a background in business administration and is a graduate of the Florida Culinary Institute, which gives him a well-rounded perspective on many aspects necessary to the management of Performance Lab. Chris and Hector are both Arizona natives, Chris from Safford and Hector from Nogales. They have a long-term commitment to southern Arizona and a desire to participate in the revitalization of downtown Tucson.

Currently held certifications through the International Sports Science Institute include Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Strength Coach, and Certified Sports Nutritionist. Hector also holds a certification as a level one TRX instructor and level one Eleiko Strength Coach.
